My Biography
I decided to come on board at Kaiser Permanente because the system here seemed like the best way to practice radiology. The comprehensive model of care benefits members in a number of ways. For one thing, there is a lack of financial incentives to practice medicine in certain ways. Providers do not occupy themselves with office administration duties, and can concentrate fully on their work. Within my field, I have special interests in mammography and vascular imaging. I take pride in doing a good job, and I collaborate well with my colleagues.
Outside of work, I read professional literature and fiction, listen to classical music, and do some gardening. I try to eat sensibly, to drink in moderation, and in the office, I choose the stairs over the elevator nearly all the time. I enjoy exercising and taking walks with my wife. We have two grown children, and my son is a physician at Kaiser Permanente’s Santa Clara facility.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
