Welcome to Physical Therapy here at Kaiser Santa Clara! I would like to take a few minutes to tell you a little bit about myself! I was born and raised in the East Bay, and have spent most of my time here. I attended Ohlone College where I obtained an AA in Natural Sciences, and then transferred to Sonoma State University. While there, I double majored with a BS in Kinesiology and a BA in Psychology because I believe that the mind and body are interrelated and that the treatment of a patient is multi-factorial. I earned my doctoral degree in Physical Therapy at the University of the Pacific in Stockton in 2009, and joined the staff at Kaiser Santa Clara in 2010. I have been a member of both the California and American Physical Therapy Associations since 2006, and am constantly seeking continuing education courses to better my skills. Currently, I also teach a knee and patellar sport class. This class is geared towards discussing the anatomy of the knee, why knee pain can occur, how to modify daily activities and decrease pain, and most important of all, how to stretch and strengthen the muscles surrounding the knee to help decrease pain and increase function. In my free time, I like to travel, bake, and run. I love outdoor activities and taking lots of pictures as well. I believe that communication and honesty are key and that tailoring individualized home exercise programs is an effective way to help healing. I encourage my patients to call me at (408) 851-1457, or secure message me if there are any questions or concerns.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
