Hello!

Welcome to Kaiser Permanente.

I have been with Kaiser Physical Therapy since June 2005. I work as an outpatient physical therapist and I enjoy helping people recover from a variety of musculoskeletal injuries. I also work closely with the orthopedic and physiatry departments. In January 2009, I joined the Workplace Safety Department doing ergonomic workstation evaluations. In April 2009, I received my certification as a Lymphedema Therapist.

I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of California at Davis in 2002. I went on to receive my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California in 2005. I have also taken a yearlong course in advanced manual therapy here at Kaiser Redwood City because I believe it is important to continue my education to better help treat my patients. I also am a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Since high school, I knew physical therapy is what I wanted to do with my life. I grew up playing a variety of sports including volleyball, basketball, track and field, badminton, softball and soccer. Needless to say, I, myself, had a few sports injuries and needed physical therapy. Ever since my first visit with my physical therapist I knew this is how I wanted to help people, and looking back, I know I’ve made the right career choice.

I try and incorporate sports and exercise into my treatment plan as well as use manual techniques to best treat my patients. I also integrate yoga/pilates based rehab for general flexibility and core strengthening. I encourage my patients to be hopeful and proactive with their rehabilitation and self management.

When I’m not working, I enjoy hiking, yoga, gardening, scuba diving, camping, and traveling with my husband. I have backpacked throughout Europe and I love the outdoors.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
