My Biography

I grew up here in the San Francisco Bay Area. I came to Kaiser Permanente San Francisco because I felt that, working within an integrated health care system without insurance concerns, I could have the biggest impact in helping my patients. I am passionate about making use of my language skills to address the medical and mental health needs of a diverse population. I enjoy interacting with and caring for my wonderful patients, as well as being able to work with excellent colleagues and care providers. I love knowing I have done the very best for my patients in providing care for them. It is gratifying to see them get through their difficult times and return back to their lives, families, and loved ones.

The Kaiser health care model’s singular mission is to provide excellent quality health care. Within this system, clinicians enjoy the freedom to practice the science and art of medicine in its fullest sense. I have an interest and specialty in Asian Focus/Cross- Cultural Psychiatry, and in working with bilingual and monolingual patients.

I spend my free time with my family, friends, and loved ones. My hobbies include photography, traveling, learning about new cultures, reading, eating desserts and dark chocolate, and cooking. I stay healthy and fit through playing tennis, ballroom dancing, staying close with my loved ones, maintaining a positive attitude, and trying to be good to myself. I am particularly fond of my cats!!!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
