About Me

I was born in Sacramento, California in 1948 and got my first pair of glasses as a young teenager in San Francisco. This sparked my interest is Optometry, which I combined with my freelance art criticism activities much later, maximizing all aspects of visual perception. My philosophy of care includes helping others to optimize their visual capacities. I look forward to helping you see better regardless of your age or problem.

I received my B.A. in Zoology from the University of California at Berkeley in 1971 and my Doctor of Optometry there in 1976. My M.A. in Philosophy was obtained at San Jose State University in 1992. I was born in Sacramento, California and raised mainly in San Francisco.

My medical interests are the art and science of refraction, detection of ocular pathology.

My Credentials

Professional School: UC Berkeley School of Optometry, Berkeley, CA
Degree: OD
