Adelle Button-Bell is a Registered Nurse in the Department of Nephrology at Kaiser Santa Clara. She was born in Oakland and raised in beautiful Livermore, CA. Adelle graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelors degree in Science and Nursing. Nephrology became her area of specialty in 1980. Within that specialty, Adelle has cared for patients who have Chronic Kidney Disease and are receiving Hemodialysis or Peritoneal Dialysis treatment. She has also functioned as a Kidney Transplant Coordinator in the pre-transplant setting. In 1994, she achieved the distinction of Certified Nephrology Nurse and maintains a current certificate to date.

Adelle’s long standing career with Kaiser Permanente began in 1993; at which time she initiated and managed the Home Peritoneal Dialysis Unit. This unit still exists and serves a specialized population in the Santa Clara area. In 2007 Adelle accepted the challenge of becoming a Renal Case Manager in the department of Nephrology here in Santa Clara.

At home Adelle and her husband of 30 years enjoy a variety of out door activities. They have three adult children who share their enthusiasm of the great outdoors. The family enjoys camping trips, hiking, backpacking, skiing and swimming. Adelle thrives every day by walking or biking to work.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
