My Practice Philosophy
It is truly an honor and a privilege to be able to participate in the care of a child. I will work very hard to come up with treatment plans that make sense and are comfortable given your family’s unique situation. Whether your child is an infant or one of those “tweeners” (½ child and ½ adult); I’ll do whatever I can to provide top notch, compassionate care. As a parent myself, I understand some of the anxieties tied into bringing your child into a physician’s office and will try to alleviate these as best I can. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions regarding any pediatric urological issue. I look forward to working with you and your family.
About Me
I was born in Boston, Massachusetts and raised in San Antonio, Texas. I attended Rice University graduating with a degree in Religious Studies and Biochemistry. I completed my medical education at Baylor College of Medicine in 1997. I transferred to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center for my urology residency training. I then moved to Georgia to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Urology at Emory University. I was in community practice in North Texas for the past three years before deciding to come out to Northern California to join Kaiser Permanente (2008). I am board certified by the American Board of Urology and have subspecialty certification in Pediatric Urology as well.
My Interests
Professionally, I am interested in all facets of pediatric urology. On a personal note, I enjoy hiking and tidepooling with my family, playing classic video games, listening to The Mountain Goats and all things Doctor Who.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
