Welcome,

I grew up in a family of academicians and engineers. I was naturally attracted to science, plus I love helping people. Being a doctor fits me well.

When a person opens up his or her world to me, it is my job, as a physican, to take care of them both physically and mentally. I am also dedicated to taking care of social and emotional needs as well. I believe being a doctor is not just about prescribing medications, but is about making a healthy difference in someone's life.

Kaiser Permanente provides me with a good environment to practice medicine in a conscientious manner with a lot of team work and great people.

I am a Member of the American College of Physicians and The American Medical Association.

At my leisure, I love listening to all kinds of music. I also enjoy playing tennis and soccer, though more on the watching front. I also love to spend quality time with family.

Thank you for visiting my page.

My Credentials

Medical school University of Calcutta Institute of Post Graduate Medicine, Calcutta, India
Residency Forest Hills Hospital, Forest Hills, NY
Board certification Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
