About Me

As someone born and raised in Oakland, I felt it was important to choose to work at Kaiser. It is a premiere healthcare provider with innovative ideas based here in Oakland. This gives me the opportunity to be involved in programs as they are developed, and to feel connected to both my company and my community. Kaiser provides many opportunities for growth and development of its practitioners, and I also am fortunate to work with expert clinicians that offer a wealth of knowledge for me to draw from.

As an athlete, I learned the value of caring, competent physical therapists at a young age. I underwent extensive rehabilitation for two knee injuries as a teenager, and began to understand the value of physical therapy. I chose to become a physical therapist because it is a rewarding and meaningful job which allows me to stay active and engaged with people in a educational environment, and also allows me to foster healing and pass on my experiences to new patients. The most important thing I would like to teach my patients about physical therapy is that it can help you stay active and involved in your life and community. We work closely with our patients goals and preferences to help them return to living their life the way they want to. Physical Therapy not only allowed me to return to playing sports, but also led to a fulfilling career.

Besides having a passion for all things Oakland and enjoying my work as a Physical Therapist, I’ve been an athlete all my life and played 2 sports at the collegiate level, soccer and lacrosse.  Recently I’ve retired to less abusive sports and enjoy hiking, backpacking, fishing and golf.  My newest passion is cooking and finding ways to explore our culinary world in a healthy way. My goal is to help people find activities that they can participate in and enjoy no matter what level they are at.
