I am pleased to offer my home page as a means to introduce myself and to provide you with high-quality health information through useful handouts and helpful web links.
I was born in Mexico, but came to the United States when I was 11 years old. I graduated form San Pedro High School, in San Pedro California. I then enlisted in the Marine Corps and served a four-year term. Shortly thereafter, I enrolled at Cerritos College in Norwalk, California, where I obtained an Associate Degree in Biology. From there I transferred to California State University, Dominguez Hills, where I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. I was accepted at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine and graduated in 1996 with an MD degree. That same year, I entered the surgical program at UC Davis in Sacramento, California and remained there for 6 years doing my post-graduate training in General Surgery. I then traveled across the country to Madison, Wisconsin, where I obtained my training in Vascular Surgery and graduated in 2003.
My main emphasis in vascular surgery is complex aortic reconstructions, but I also enjoy peripheral arterial reconstructions.
My hobbies mainly involve running, cycling and gardening. I love animals and own a yellow Labrador Retriever; he is so much fun and loving.
I have been at the South Sacramento facility since 2003, and I am looking forward to a long career with Kaiser Permanente.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
