About Me

I was born in the Philippines and spent my early learning years there. I attended the St. Louis University system at the Phillippines from grade school to a bachelor’s degree and finally College of Medicine – a proud Louisian. I worked in my home country doing mainly tropical medicine for two years. Shortly thereafter, I did my Internal Medicine residency with the Metropolitan Hospital Center in New York, NY.

I have lived and have practiced medicine in West Virginia and most recently Kansas City, MI. Even before Residency training, I dreamed of joining the Kaiser Permanente system. Now that I am working for Kaiser Permanente, I am experiencing first hand how organized this organization is primarily to our patients, the physicians and to the community as a whole.

Practice Philosophy

I believe strongly in the adage of Health is Wealth, the main reason in the emphasis for preventive medicine. I believe in helping patients and serve as partners to patients to ensure that they receive proper care.

When not practicing medicine, I enjoy the outdoors, hiking and photography are my special interests. Reading about or even traveling to new places, learning their culture is particularly enjoyable.

I am proud to work with a highly skilled group of health care professionals, all of whom are located together on my unit. Depending on your needs, I call upon my members include registered nurse practitioners who provide appointments for conditions such as wellness education, disease prevention and care for anemia, hypertension, muscle strains, and thyroid problems. Registered nurses on my team provide care for minor illnesses such as bronchitis, sore throats, ear and eye infections, bladder infections and flu symptoms. I also work with a physical therapist who can help with muscle and bone problems, as well as a clinical health educator who will provide you with direct health education, information and counseling for conditions such as weight management, exercise, diet, diabetes care, and smoking cessation.

Your comments and suggestions are always welcome, and I look forward to seeing you at your next appointment.

Select a personal physician - An important part of your health care experience at Kaiser Permanente includes building a relationship with your personal physician. If you haven't already selected one or want to change, click here to choose a personal physician for yourself or for a family member.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
