Welcome to my home page...

I was born and raised in Malaysia. I received my nursing training at Mayday University Hospital in Surrey, England and also trained in Nurse Midwifery in Southampton University Hospital, England. I was board certified in UK as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Midwife.

After moving to USA, I went to San Jose State University where I received my Nurse Practitioner training and am a licensed Registered Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife with the state of California.

I worked at Planned Parenthood for 7 years before joining KP Milpitas in 1989. My medical interest has always been in Women Health Care.

I speak fluent Mandarin and Cantonese. During my leisure time I enjoy reading and listening to classic and easy listening music. My hobbies include handcrafting, gardening, jogging and travel. I've been jogging just about everyday for many years, rain or shine!

I'm currently serving as a Board Member for Culture to Culture Foundation and America-Chinese Mental Health Network, which promotes mental health in the Chinese Community. I believe good mental health leads to a healthy life.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
