He went on to receive his medical degree from the Stanford University School of Medicine, where he graduated with the Dean's Award for Excellence in Clinical Medicine.

Prior to joining The Permanente Medical Group in 1998, Dr. Menard completed a one-year fellowship in Craniofacial Surgery at the Australian Craniofacial Unit in Adelaide, South Australia, specializing in the latest craniofacial surgery and endoscopic and facial recontouring techniques.

Dr. Menard's medical interests include craniofacial surgery and cosmetic surgery. In the past ten years, he has performed over 4,000 plastic and reconstructive procedures, including craniofacial procedures such as endoscopic craniosynostosis correction, cleft lip and palate repair, and correction of complex craniofacial anomalies, as well as cosmetic procedures such as endoscopic browlift, facelift (rhytidectomy), cosmetic eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), breast augmentation and breast lift (mastopexy), and abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). He has been recognized for his research in plastic and reconstructive surgery on both the national and international levels, including presentations to the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the International Society of Craniofacial Surgeons. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the International Society of Craniofacial Surgery, the European Association of Craniomaxillofacial Surgery, and the American Association of Plastic Surgeons.
