Welcome to my website. I work at the Kaiser Permanente Allergy Department three days a week. I am at the Santa Clara Allergy Clinic on Mondays and Wednesdays and the Milpitas Allergy Clinic on Thursdays. I see mainly adults and children, age 5 years or older.

I believe in building a strong physician patient relationship with my patients. I feel that listening, effectively communicating, and spending time on patient education, and improving the quality of life is an integral part of any treatment plan.

About Me

I was born in New York City and raised in Stockton, California when my family moved to California when I was age 5.

I am a member of both the Golden Key National and Alpha Lambda Delta honor societies at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). I received an Outstanding Resident Teaching Award during my residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California, Davis and continue to enjoy working with residents and interns who rotate through the Allergy Department at Kaiser Permanete Santa Clara.

The American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology awarded me with the Clemen's von Pirquet Award for my research in walnut and pecan allergies during my Allergy/Immunology fellowship at the University of California, Davis. I received a National Institute of Health Grant during my allergy fellowship to study pine nut allergies. My medical interests include allergic rhinitis (hay fever), asthma, and peanut and tree nut allergies.

I have participated in humanitarian work with the Paul Hom Asian Free Clinic, the Venice Family Clinic, and the Chicago Medical School Community AIDS Awareness project.

My personal interests include sailing, yoga, piano playing, skiing and traveling. Most of my leisure time, lately, is spent with my young family. I have two very active little boys, a 3.5 year old and an 18 month old who like to keep my busy when I am not in clinic.
