My Practice Philosophy

About Me

I grew up in the bay area. My interest in Optometry developed because of my desire to work in a profession where I could help and work with people. My older sister is also an optometrist and was a big influence on me.

I attended the University of San Francisco where I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology. I received my Doctor of Optometry Degree at Southern California College of Optometry at Fullerton and interned at the Fort Ord Army Base, Monterey, California, the Veterans Administration of Los Angeles, and the Optometric Center of Los Angeles. I am knowledgeable in all aspects of optometry including contact lenses, vision therapy, low vision and ocular disease. I have enjoyed examining patients at Kaiser since 1987.

My Interests

In the past, I have enjoyed hobbies in the arts such as flower arranging, ceramics, calligraphy and rubber stamping. I presently enjoy spending my free time with my husband and three children.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
