My Practice Philosophy

I believe that I am the patient's advocate and I will work with you to achieve good health and prevent disease.

About Me

I received my B.S. from the University of California at Los Angeles in Biology and Engineering. I went on to receive my medical degree from New York Medical College in 2002. I completed my residency in Internal Medicine at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, Santa Clara and joined the staff at Kaiser Permanente in 2005. I also received my PhD. in Public Health/Epidemiology from the University of California at San Diego. I am certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

My Interests

My medical interests include obesity and weight loss, women's health, ethnic differences in disease prevalence and public health/epidemiology.

I can speak Konkani (an Indian language) and limited Spanish as well as English. My personal interests include travel, photography, hiking, painting, music, and preparing ethnic cuisine.
