Thank you for taking the time to look through my home page, and I hope it will help you provide information about myself.

I was born in the Philippines and immigrated in the United States in 1992. I received my high school education in the Philippines. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Communicative Disorders and Sciences from San Jose State University in 2001, and my Master’s degree in Communicative Disorders, emphasis in Audiology from California State University, Northridge in 2003.

I joined Kaiser Permanente Hearing Center-Redwood City right after obtaining my Master’s degree in June of 2003 as a Clinical Fellow in Audiology, and in July of 2004 became a Staff Audiologist.

My work includes diagnostic audiology for children and adults, counseling patients about hearing loss and other hearing disorders, and hearing aid evaluation. I enjoy working with patients of all ages, and find great satisfaction in helping others in their communication needs. My professional interests include cochlear implants, electrophysiological measures and pediatric audiology. I belong to the American Academy of Audiology and American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.

My outside interests include hiking, swimming, movies, music, reading and theatre. I also spend some of my time volunteering for Special Olympics-Silicon Valley Chapter, and singing with the Revelation Choir of St. John Vianney Parish in San Jose, CA. I am fluent in English and Tagalog.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
