Practice Philosophy:

I believe medicine is an art fostered by sound medical knowledge, good clinical skills and lasting patient-physician relationships, geared towards ones over all well being.

Biography:

My medical education was completed in 1992 at the Christian Medical College, Vellore, University of Madras,India, following which I worked as a Primary Care Physician for two years.I then did a General Surgery residency at Christian Medical College,Vellore,India, which I completed in 1998.I practiced for four years as a general surgeon. I then did Internal Medicine residency at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center, University of Medicine & Dentistry, New Jersey. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2008.

On a personal note, I enjoy spending time with family & friends. In addition to English, I am fluent in Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi.

I am a strong proponent of preventive health. I believe in the adage "A stitch in time saves nine". I would encourage members visting my home page to make use of the many useful links attached to this page.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
