About Me:

Dr. Tao was raised in the Peoples Republic of China. She attended the University of Science and Technology in Anhui Hefei, P.R. China, from which she graduated with a bachelor's of science degree in Molecular Biology in 1988. She then came to the United States where she received a scholarship to attend Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI where she earned a Master's Degree in Biology in 1991.

While studying for her master's degree, Dr. Tao worked as a teacher, instructing college students in experimental cellular and molecular biology. Dr. Tao received her Medical Degree from New York University School of Medicine in 1998. She stayed at NYU to complete her internship and residency.

Throughout her education and training, Dr. Tao worked as a researcher at Yale Medical Center and New York University Medical Center. One of her areas of research was for the development of a vaccine for Lyme disease.

Dr. Tao is a member of the American Medical Association, the American-Chinese Medical Association, and the American College of Physicians. She is also fluent in Mandarin.

When she is not working, Dr. Tao enjoys reading, watching movies and shows, listening to music, travel and church activities.
