Resources:
These links to internal Kaiser Permanente resources are meant to help you use our system to maximally support your health. These external links are meant to give you the context of medicine as a whole and resources that exist in the community at large. I believe that individuals make different decisions based on their own values and preferences, and therefore, must share in the decision making. It is my job to define in so far as possible the causes of your medical condition to provide for you all the information necessary to make these choices as to what approach to care and treatment you prefer, an then with respect, help you implement your choices. This shared decision making requires that you have all the information we have available and I encourage you to use the links on this page that give you that information. If you find any other sources of information that you find very valuable, I would appreciate it if you would bring them to my attention. Wishing you the very best of health and happiness and the most successful measures of wellness that you can attain.
Use these links to physical medicine, physical therapy and therapeutic exercises, complementary and alternative medicine, and spine care, as well as all our Kaiser Permanente systems to make it easier to get the information you want and need.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
