It is important to me that you have confidence in the care and services we give your child; that you feel that we have listened to you and have explained to your satisfaction the plan of care we have for your child. About Me

I am a native Californian. I attended the University of California, Riverside from which I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. I received a post-graduate degree in medical technology at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and worked for five years in that institution as a medical technologist. I then decided to pursue a career as a physician. I received my medical degree from the University of California, San Diego in 1986. I completed my internship and residency in pediatrics at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in San Francisco. I am board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.

I am a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP). I joined The Permanente Medical Group in 1989 and currently serve as the Assistant Chief of Pediatrics. I care for pediatric patients of all ages, from infant through teen. I routinely deal with a diverse range of special problems from attention deficit disorder to juvenile diabetes.

My Interests

I am married and have two children. In my leisure time, I enjoy gardening, audio production, and computer graphics. My wife and I are firm believers in a healthy diet and regular exercise.
