Educational Background:

My undergraduate degree is an MS in Organizational Behavior from the University of San Francisco. I received my Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from John F. Kennedy University in 1994, and, after becoming licensed in 1997, I opened a Private Practice office. I have continued my education with specialty classes which include areas like Alternative Dispute Resolution, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), and Hypnosis.

Kaiser Employment:

In 2002 I began teaching Kaiser’s Behavioral Health Classes in Anger Management, Couples Communication, Anxiety Management and Depression Management.

In June, 2004, I joined the Adult Psychiatry Department in Milpitas where I currently work with individuals and groups using a variety of psychotherapy approaches.

Our Mission:

At Milpitas Psychiatry, our staff has a strong commitment to providing rapid access to quality treatment. Our highly qualified staff maintains strict standards of professionalism. We are dedicated to providing a variety of services that address many issues and problems.

We are also committed to providing culturally competent services to our diverse membership. We have several multi-lingual, multi-cultural licensed staff members in our clinic.

Psychotherapy and Treatment:

Psychotherapy works best as an honest and open collaboration between client and therapist with motivation and commitment to change. Psychotherapy may involve skill building and education. Success in Psychotherapy requires willingness to participate in the process and often involves work outside of therapy sessions.

As your therapist, I hope to engage in a collaborative relationship with you to meet the challenges of change, to improve self-awareness and to encourage new behaviors that can enhance the quality of your life. Our Psychotherapy sessions may consist of individual, family, and/or group treatment.
