Mountain View Psychiatry Department's Philosophy:
As your clinicians, we want to provide the best care possible for you. We believe in treating the whole person with the focus on mind-body wellness. At this clinic, we can offer you group therapy, individual therapy, and medication evaluation depending on our comprehensive assessment of what would be the best care for your particular problem. We, as therapists, believe that group therapy is very helpful and is an important benefit we can offer our members. We are particularly skilled in bring this form of treatment to our members. At our clinic, we offer a comfortable and welcoming environment for members to come and receive treatment.

About Me:
I graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Wellesley College, a M.A. in Psychological Counseling from Columbia University, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology (PGSP).
I completed my clinical internship training with the Albany Psychology Consortium in Albany, NY, where I treated adult patients at the Albany Medical Center, the Albany Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center and the Capital District Psychiatric Center. I completed my post-doctoral fellowship in Adult Psychiatry at Kaiser Permanente in Mountain View, CA. and I am currently a licensed psychologist in CA.
My past clinical experiences included training at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Hospital where I provided individual and group psychotherapy to patients with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I have also provided individual psychotherapy and psychological assessments to children, adolescent and adult patients of diverse cultural backgrounds at community mental health clinics in the California Bay area. Additionally, I have published research in the area of cultural differences and on the topic of continuing bonds in bereavement.
My areas of clinical interests include attachment and development, cultural diversity issues, and women’s issues. I have a particular interest in the spectrum of women's issues ranging from pre-pregnancy to postpartum adjustment.
I currently run an anxiety group called Slowing Down the Jitters and I also help to co-facilitate the Pregnancy/Postpartum Stress Series group through the Mind Body Wellness Center. I am also involved in the supervision of post-doctoral psychology residents.
I can also speak Mandarin Chinese.
My Interests:
In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, yoga and spending time with friends and family.
