About Me

I have enjoyed my job as a physician with Kaiser Permanente since I began work at Walnut Creek in July 1987. Over the years, I have been given the opportunity to assume various roles in my job, including Chief of the Medicine Department from 1994 to 2001. I have also had the chance to participate as one of the physicians in our Hospice program.

My greatest rewards have come from working with my patients and involving them in choices regarding the evaluation and management of the medical problems that arise in their lives. It has been my great privilege to work with some of my patients for many years, and to help them make decisions involving their health care.

I have also enjoyed sharing mutual interests in music, opera, and travel, with many of my patients. I look forward to continued participation in the care of my patients over the coming years.

My Credentials

Medical school State University of New York At Stony Brook, Syracuse, NY
Residency David Grant Medical Center, Travis Afb, CA
Board certification Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
