My Practice Philosophy

About Me

I was born and raised in Los Angeles and received my Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of California at Los Angeles. I continued my studies in Chicago at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in 1993. I began my OB/GYN residency at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago and moved back to California to complete my training at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Oakland.

As a resident, I found great satisfaction in teaching fellow residents and medical students. Now as a staff physician at Kaiser, I teach OB/GYN in Labor and Delivery as well as in the operating room. I consistently receive top marks as a resident educator. I am a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and am currently the Communication Consultant and the Service Chairman for the Department of OB/GYN.

My Interests

When I am not working, I enjoy gardening and hiking. Most of my large family lives in Southern California, but my husband and I enjoy the Bay Area and its proximity to the High Sierras. Our two small children ensure that our personal lives are busy and fun-filled.

I want to be certain all of your concerns are addressed. If you forget to ask a question during your visit, you may leave me a message at (650) 903-3020. Either, I, or my medical assistant, will return your call.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
