Hello and welcome to my home page.
I was born and raised on the East Coast. After growing up in a suburb of Washington, DC I became a New Englander for ten years. I attended Harvard College where I earned an AB in Psychology and graduated with honors. After taking a year off to travel and work, I then attended Tufts University School of Medicine. It was during my rotations that I became interested in dermatology and committed myself to the study of skin, hair and nails. After graduating, I completed my internship at Faulkner Hospital in Boston, MA before moving with my husband to Baltimore, MD where I completed my dermatology residency at the University of Maryland. I then returned to the Washington, DC area where I gained further experience with the cosmetic as well as the medical and surgical sides of dermatology.
My husband and I became enchanted with the natural beauty of Northern California, the weather, and the healthy lifestyle, so we decided to relocate here to raise our children. While some may affectionately refer to me as an "East Coast transplant," I prefer to call myself a proud new Californian! I chose to join Kaiser Permanente in September 2006 because I was impressed with the dedication of the medical staff, the team approach to health care, and the emphasis on preventative medicine. I believe that open lines of communication between doctors and patients, as well as amongst the doctors themselves, allow the best possible medical care.
My goal is to empower patients to make educated choices about their own health management. I believe that once a patient's medical concerns have been addressed, he or she may also have aesthetic concerns as a matter of personal importance. I am pleased to be able to provide my patients with a variety of cosmetic services. Looking and feeling your best is not too much to ask. You can't change the past, but you can make a difference, starting today.
In my free time I enjoy being active and exploring the Bay area with my husband and our two beautiful, lively daughters.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
