Please explore the many items on my web page. Please note that Pediatric Health Information includes information on common pediatric problems, newborns & breast feeding, weight management issues, travel shots, well care, and immunizations. The Multimedia Page (Educational Videos and Radio Broadcasts) is another great resource available to you. It's a great resource for parents! This is a resource for you to get questions and information about common pediatric problems via the internet 24 hours a day.

My Practice Philosophy

I feel privileged to be your child's pediatrician and look forward to being involved in their care. My goal is to promote your child's well-being on many levels and I hope to address all his/her medical, developmental, emotional, and school-related needs, as well as your concerns as a parent.

About Me

I am originally from New Rochelle, New York but I grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut. I have also lived in Paris, Philadelphia, New York City, Boston, and Chicago. I graduated from Temple University School of Medicine in 1996. My internship and residency training was completed at the University of Chicago Hospitals. I moved to the Bay Area in 1999 and joined Kaiser in 2000. I am board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.

I am in the office on Mondays, Tuesday, and Fridays. I work part-time in order to spend time with my three young daughters. Please schedule your child's well care physicals on these days. If you have a concern about your child that cannot wait, please don't hesitate to make an appointment with one of my colleagues, Dr. George Johnson, Dr. Julie Kohl, or Dr. Juanita Loftus. We work very closely together and effectively communicate all patient-related problems. You can also leave me a voice mail at 650-903-2620 and I will contact you when I return to the office.

My Interests

On my days out of the office (they are definitely not "days off"), I am very busy with other child-related endeavors - spending time with my daughters, Bayley, Lexi, Skylar. These activities include carpooling to dance class, soccer or swim practice, and volunteering in my daughter's first grade class. On most weekends, I like to go hiking, work out in the gym, attending children's birthday parties, spending time with my husband and our girls.

I LOVE the following musicians: Crosby, Stills, and Nash, Jackson Browne, Rolling Stones, Van Morrison. A couple of songs by Def Leopard (or shouldn't I admit that). As for anything from this century, I only like "Hey Ya'" by Outkast.

My Credentials

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
