My Biography

San Francisco has one of the most diverse communities in California. At Kaiser Permanente San Francisco, I find working with such a wide demographic to be highly rewarding. The relationships that the Audiology department forges with other health care providers allow us to provide the best possible care for our members.

Kaiser is constantly improving services and heath care access to members and the community at large. One of Kaiser’s greatest assets is our comprehensive health care model which allows patients to access different specialists, obtain referrals, and complete their laboratory work all within the Kaiser network. San Francisco is on the forefront of technology when it comes to electronic records and utilizing technology in providing better patient care. Health Connect, our electronic medical records system, replaces paper charts and is a superior system in every way. Providers are able to assess and review a patient’s full medical history at a glance. With our online initiatives, Kaiser members benefit from the convenience of scheduling appointments, refilling their prescriptions, and exchanging confidential messages with their providers over a secure network.

Although my primary training and experience has been in Audiology, other areas of interest include balance and dizziness problems, hearing-aid technology developments, and assistive listening devices. Outside of work, I enjoy driving and exploring the back roads of northern California and admiring the coastal beauty of the landscapes. I THRIVE by maintaining a vegetarian diet, riding the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), and taking the stairs whenever I can.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
