About Me
I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and have had the privilege of practicing at Kaiser Permanente since 1989.
My Favorite subjects in college were biology and humanities. Practicing medicine includes both. I enjoy my interactions with my patients and colleagues. Both my patients and I benefit from the ability to seek speciality care because of the integration of services. Over the years, I've appreciated the education and input of the pharmacy, lab, and infectious disease services for up-to-date information and recommendations.
As one of my special interests, I work in a multidisciplinary wound clinic each month as a dermatology consultant. I am a memeber of the American Academy of Dermatology.
When not practicing dermatology, I enjoy hiking, gardening, cooking, and reading from the large stack of books at my bedside table.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
