About Dr. Menard:
Dr. Menard graduated first semester Phi Beta Kappa (given to the top five students) from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, with a Bachelor's of Arts in both Classics and Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. He was a United States Fulbright Scholar and studied in Rome, Italy under the Nobel Prize Winner, Dr. Rita Levi-Montalcini. He went on to receive his medical degree from the Stanford University School of Medicine, where he graduated with the Dean's Award for Excellence in Clinical Medicine. He then completed General Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residencies at Stanford. Prior to joining The Permanente Medical Group in 1998, Dr. Menard completed a one-year fellowship in Craniofacial Surgery at the Australian Craniofacial Unit in Adelaide, South Australia, specializing in the latest endoscopic and facial recontouring techniques.
Dr. Menard's medical interests include craniofacial surgery and cosmetic surgery. In the past five years, he has performed over 2,000 plastic and reconstructive procedures, including endoscopic browlift, facelift (rhytidectomy), cosmetic eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), cosmetic nasal surgery (rhinoplasty), breast augmentation and breast lift (mastopexy), abdominoplasty, liposuction, cheek and chin augmentation, cosmetic ear surgery (otoplasty), and laser facial resurfacing. He has been recognized for his research in plastic and reconstructive surgery on both the national and international levels, including presentations to the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the International Society of Craniofacial Surgeons.
