About me

I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 2003. I have been fascinated with the eyes since childhood, so Optometry was a natural career choice. I am lucky that I am in a profession which allows me to have a positive impact on people’s lives by helping them see better. I know how a life can be changed and improved through vision, whether that be through glasses, contacts or laser vision correction.

I enjoy working here because I am able to see a range of patients from children to adults. In fact, I often see the whole family togeteher! Kaiser Permanente is great because it offers integrated health care. I am able to work with other providers to give patients a high level of care. In order to better serve our patient population, I speak Spanish and Konkani (a South Indian dialect).

I grew up in San Ramon, California. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, I went to the University of Houston College of Optometry. While in my fourth year of Optometry school, I did externships at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Palo Alto and at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas.

In my free time, I like to read, travel, cook and listen to music (anything from the 80’s to jazz to R&B). My husband and I love travelling around the Bay Area with our chocolate lab, Maddie.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
