Hello and welcome to my Home Page. I consider it a priviledge to participate in your health care needs. Please read what is included in this Web Site for information on common health care problems. Please visit the Kaiser Health Care Encyclopedia at www.kaiserpermanente.org

My Biography

I was raised in Stamford, Connecticut and received my undergraduate education at the University of Connecticut where I graduated with honors. I received my Medical Degree from Cornell University Medical School and completed my residency in Internal Medicine at Washington Hospital Center in Washington D.C. and a Fellowship at the University of Connecticut Medical Center.

I have published multiple articles in various medical journals. I'm also a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine.

I joined The Permanente Medical Group in 1990. Prior to this, I worked for twelve years at the Redwood Medical Clinic and wish that I hadn't waited so long to join Kaiser Permanente. Currently, I'm the Physician-in-Charge of the Mountain View facility.

I'm married and have two sons. In my leisure time, I enjoy biking, travel, reading, sports, and photography.

Healthnote 2005- I invite you to read my Spring and Summer 2005 Healthnote.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
