"Technical expertise is essential but not enough: there must be harmonious, educational and enjoyable interaction between staff, residents, patients, students and nurses."

Welcome to the Plastic Surgery Department at the Kaiser Santa Clara Medical Center. Your visit today will be with Dr. John Eggleston.

Dr. Eggleston joined The Permanente Medical Group in 2005 after serving on the plastic surgical staff at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed an orthopedic fellowship in upper extremity and microvascular surgery at the University of California, San Diego. This followed residency training in both general and plastic and reconstructive surgery at Stanford University. Dr. Eggleston attended medical school at the University of Virginia, graduating in 1995, and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Dartmouth College, graduating with honors in 1991.

The American Board of Plastic Surgery certified Dr. Eggleston in 2001. He is an active member of the Santa Clara Medical Association and a candidate member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. The Plastic Surgery Department of Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara is an affiliated institution of the Stanford University Medical School and the Plastic Surgery Residency Program.
